Our Program

Eastside offers classes for children as young as age 2 through 18, for all levels and abilities.  For students kindergarten and under we offer a combination class of tap and ballet.  For our older students we offer a variety of dance styles including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Irish, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Theatre Dance and Hip-Hop.

Our goal is to enable each student to experience and grow in the many aspects of the art of dance including confidence, coordination, creativity, self-expression, musicality, discipline, and grace. Most of all we strive to instill kindness and positive thinking that are skills that will shine in all areas of life.

Eastside Dance Company was established in 1999 and in July of 2008 Julia DeDominick DeRites became the proud owner.  With rapid growth and the desire to be able to offer dancers and the dance community more she was excited to expand multiple times.

In fall of 2011, Eastside Dance Company expanded it's currently location to add a second dance room known as Studio B in Kings Court Plaza located 910-912 Hazelwood Road, Toms River.  Three years later in 2014, overjoyed with excitement Eastside opened the third dance room.  Located behind our main location, studio C is in Bellcrest Plaza and is the primary facility for our team dancers. We are thrilled to have three dance rooms which enable us to offer more classes for our dancers and added special events throughout the year.

Owner and studio director, Julia DeDominick DeRites, wants to thank all of the families who have been by her side and supported Eastside as it has grown.  She appreciates all of those who have taken advantage of the many programs and experiences provided through Eastside.  Julia looks forward to continued growth and development of Eastside's programs and is excited for you to be the journey with her!
